Dawn Sonntag is an entrepreneurial business professional. She has an extensive background in marketing and sales in the medical/technology community, and a passion for providing communication services to the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and those with Audio Processing Disorders.
Dawn is also TypeWell trained and qualified and has provided live and remote services to hundreds of students at various colleges, businesses, and associations throughout the U.S. and the U.K. She is considered one of the top Amara and CPC (Closed Captioning & Subtitling Software) trainers and strives for 100% accuracy. Dawn is a huge proponent of instilling an internal captioning culture for all learning environments.
She is also a former Director of Medical Transcription for South Coast College and was part of the Adjunct Faculty at Harper College teaching Healthcare Technology and Informatics and Medical Transcription.
In her spare time Dawn is mom to two, a fitness and nutritional guru, and enjoys giving back through various charitable organizations.

Onward and upward captures Amy’s spirit and drive. Serving and caring for clients and students, as well as the independent contractors working with Caption Consulting is always top of mind for Amy.
Striving for excellence in all areas of her life translates well in her role as COO. Amy started working with d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing students and adults while captioning onsite at local community college and quickly discovered her passion.
A trained TypeWell captionist, as well as an accommodations coordinator for interpreting and captioning services, Amy understands clients needs and makes it her mission to ensure those needs are met. Feeling accomplished at the end of a day, means that Amy has made a difference for her clients and the Caption Consulting team.
Amy has been providing onsite and remote accommodations for d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing clients since 2008, throughout the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. Amy is a requested presenter at media captioning workshops and a sought after trainer on closed captioned video production.
Happily married since 1994, Amy is a mother of two. She enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with family and friends and making a difference.
Jess Leiter | Services coordinator
Advocacy and equal access drive Jess, Caption Consulting’s newest team member. Jess has 16 years of experience as a qualified TypeWell transcriber, providing speech-to-text transcription to consumers both onsite and remotely.
In her role as Service Coordinator, Jess will assist with scheduling and other daily operations. She advocates to source feasible solutions to inaccessibility through equal access. Jess ensures clients, service providers, and the Caption Consulting team have a positive experience.
Jess has 13 years of experience coordinating TypeWell, CART, ASL interpreting, and post-production services. She also holds a Deaf Studies degree from Towson University.
In her free time, Jess enjoys catching up with friends and family,or napping with her dog, Cora. She also loves to travel.
Aly Nemeroff | Office Adminstrator
Aly brings technical finesse and millennial energy to the Caption Consulting team. Aly assists the team (and her Mom) with day-to-day scheduling, software updates, client billing, IC invoices, and general office administration and support.
Aly is a student at the College of Lake County. Her aspirations are to parlay her current schooling into Landscape Architecture. She shares a passion for service having held roles as a Rehabilitation Aide and nonprofit volunteer.
Her volunteer work for Gigi’s Playhouse, a network of Down Syndrome Achievement Centers, gave Aly a strong foundation in organization and efficiency. Aly enjoys photography, reading, and writing.
