We are so proud of our team! Often behind the scenes, our providers shine bright. Meet Paola. Paola is one of our captionists at the Chicago Film Festival. Captioning the Q&A for No Ordinary Campaign last week truly moved her. Thank you Paola for all you do to bring equitable access for the d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.

IHello! My name is Paola Yañez and I am an RCP-M real-time CART provider and captionist. My captions serve the deaf and hard-of-hearing community, as well as people trying to learn English, and those who are learning to read. I am also bi-lingual, captioning in both Spanish and English. I am blessed to wake up every day and do work that I love.

Having the honor of captioning Brian Wallach’s words, in his film ‘No Ordinary Campaign’, has humbled me, strengthened my belief in personal power, and touched my heart in profound ways. I want to thank the Chicago International Film Festival for the opportunity to capture the words of this amazing man who said, “If we dream together we can do beautiful, amazing things. That were supposed to be impossible.”

Words have the power to change lives and I am so grateful to be able to capture them and give them back to the world.
